This installation piece comes from my experiences in the Philippines during the summers of 2012 and 2013, as well as my continuing relationships with the beautiful people I was fortunate enough to meet. Experiencing the children and their seemingly primitive entertainment spoke volumes as I inhaled the depth of what I saw. Watching the young children throwing the tops as the older generations instructed in various techniques was a truly remarkable happening. The energy that I felt was difficult to capture, however I believe the implied influence of human interaction is seen within this piece. It leaves the viewer with a sense of lost innocence and simplicity that must be sought out; right under our technology driven foot steps.
